Edit: If you’re reading this and feel like you’re missing key details, I wrote a blog earlier this morning (1/17/2023) titled “Surgery”
Well, I made it out of surgery alive! Hurray!
Ooouch! All that excited celebrating was too much for this ol’ boy. Best tone it down a bit now. Kidding!
My ear and throat are achy, which is to be expected. I still feel groggy from the anesthesia and Norco, but otherwise, I’m feeling relatively well considering. But the most important thing is that I survived, and all I can do now is rest up, begin healing, and hope for the best.
Things I’m feeling grateful for post-op are waking up, my amazing wife, my family, my understanding boss, my granddogter, Peaches (you read that right, that’s what I call my daughter’s dog who’s stay with us).
I am also so thankful that so far, that I’m not experiencing any dizziness, vertigo, nausea, taste disturbances, tremendous pain, or extreme tinnitus (knockingon wood, aka, my head!). I know it’s only mere hours after surgery, but I have to show appreciation for these things now, in hopes I continue on this upward trajectory.
